Patriarchal Exarch of Southeast Asia visited the Indonesian island of Timor for the first time


On 3 April 2024, the Patriarchal Exarch of Southeast Asia, Metropolitan Sergius of Singapore and Southeast Asia, visited for the first time the city of Kupang on the island of Timor (Indonesia) and met with Christians living there.
The province of East Nusa Tenggara, where Kupang is located, is the southernmost province of Indonesia in the archipelago of the Lesser Sunda Islands.
Metropolitan Sergius was accompanied on the trip by Hieromonk Seraphim (Punuf), cleric of the Archdiocesan metochion of St. Vladimir's Church in Bekasi; Deacon Damian Darmawan, cleric of the Church of St. Thomas the Apostle in Jakarta; and Reader Sergius Geraldio, states the Telegram channel of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Southeast Asia.
