Metropolitan of All America and Canada Tikhon extends condolences for victims of terrorist attack in Krasnogorsk
His Beatitude Archbishop Tikhon of Washington, Metropolitan of All America and Canada, sent condolences to His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus' over the terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall in Krasnogorsk. As of March 25, the death toll stands at 137.
Your Holiness, dear brother and concelebrant in the Lord’s Mysteries!
Christ is in our midst!
With the beginning of the Forty Days that Save Our Souls, I wish I were writing to Your Holiness with joyful fraternal greetings. Instead, I must offer my condolences to Your Holiness, your Church, and to all the Russian people on Friday’s terrorist attack in Moscow. For the faithful departed, as well as the wounded, grieving, afflicted, and afraid, I offer my prayers, and further I assure Your Holiness of the fraternal prayers and concern of the clergy and faithful of the Orthodox Church in America for their fellow believers in the Russian Orthodox Church.
May God establish justice, bring safety, impart consolation, and, to invoke the words of the Anaphora of St. Basil, turn the violent evil of men to his good providential purposes by his own goodness.
Your brother in Christ,
+Tikhon,
Archbishop of Washington,
Metropolitan of All America and Canada
Patriarch
