Metropolitan Pavel of Manila and Hanoi celebrates Liturgy and ordination in Manila

On February 25, the feast day of the Iberian icon of the Mother of God, Metropolitan Pavel of Manila and Hanoi, administrator of the Philippines and Vietnam diocese, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the church dedicated to this icon in Manila, capital of the Philippines.
Concelebrating with the archpastor were hieromonk Korniliy (Molev), secretary of the Philippine-Vietnamese diocese; hieromonk Alexiy (Lapshin), rector of the church; archimandrite Philemon (Castro), and Rev. Augustine Ponferrada. The deacons were led by hierodeacon Nikodim (Pirkhovsky).
H.E. Marat Pavlov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of the Philippines, attended the service, Telegram channel of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Southeast Asia reports.
During the Liturgy, Metropolitan Pavel ordained deacon Juventinus Bulaqueña to the priesthood.
At the end of the service, Metropolitan Pavel congratulated the parishioners on their patronal feast and said words of edification to Rev Juventinus, reminding him of responsibility of pastoral ministry and wishing him God’s aid.
