Hundreds of Vinnytsia citizens gather for prayer outside UOC church previously closed by OCU activists
DECR Communication Service, 16/02/2024
In the evening of February 15, after the OCU activists had sawed the door locks off and closed the Church of the “Quick to Hear” Icon of the Mother of God, hundreds of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church faithful gathered outside the church building for prayer vigil.
As far back as February 12, the church’s religious community held a meeting to confirm its allegiance to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and its head, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine.
As the UOC Department of Information and Education reports, despite the said decision of the religious community, the OCU activists sawed the locks off and closed the building. Parishioners have to pray outside.
