Foundation stone is laid for Church of St Mary of Egypt in Ramula, Kenya

On 10th of February, the foundation stone was laid for the Church of the Venerable Mary of Egypt in Ramula village, Kakamega County, Kenya.
The ceremony was preceded by the Divine Liturgy celebrated by Priest Arsenios Chitwa, dean of the Kakamega deanery; Parish Priest Antipas Odhiambo, Priests Myron Likoti, Petros Okello, Prothromos Kabala and Charles Otieno; and Deacon Anthony Chitwa, website of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa reports.
According to Deacon Anthony Chitwa, there are also plans to open an orphanage at the site.
At this stage, the parish organisers regular charity meals for people in need.
