Clergy of the Patriarchal parishes in the USA attend meeting of compatriots at the Russian embassy.

On 15th January at the invitation of the ambassador of the Russian Federation to the United States of America Anatoly Ivanovich Antonov, the dean of the Saint Nicholas Patriarchal Cathedral in New York archpriest Igor Vyzhanov and the acting chancellor of the Patriarchal parishes in the USA abbot Nicodemus (Balyasnikov) attended a round table at the Russian embassy in Washington on working with Russian compatriots.
The topic of the conversation was the possibility of realizing initiatives on supporting Russian culture among Russian compatriots living in America. The participants of the event held by the ambassador Anatoly Antonov, who had come from various cities of the USA, were able to speak and express their views on the situation.
Those present were handed works of Russian fiction and textbooks for studying the Russian language so that they could further continue working with their compatriots.
Archpriest Igor Vyzhanov especially thanked Nina Abramyan from the Russian embassy for developing a working dialogue with the Saint Nicholas Cathedral, reports the parish website.
