Cross for the dome of the church in Siniloan is consecrated on the feast day of the Exaltation of the Cross

September 27, the Exaltation of the Holy and Life-Giving Cross of the Lord, is a patronal feast of the parish in Siniloan (Laguna), the Philippines.
The festive divine service was celebrated by Archimandrite Philemon (Castro), rector of the parish, and hieromonk Alexy (Lapshin), dean of the Manila district of the Philippines and Vietnam diocese, website of the diocese reports.
At the end of the Divine Liturgy, the consecration of the cross for the dome of the Holy Cross Church took place.
The community in Siniloan was founded in 1980 and became the first Orthodox parish in the Philippines after most Russian Orthodox refugees left Tubabao Island in 1951 and their churches were destroyed by a typhoon. Since 2020, the parish has belonged to the Russian Orthodox Church.
