On Saturday, September 16, the celebration of Holy Trinity Seminary's 75th anniversary in Jordanville continued with an academic theological conference on "Orthodox Seminary in the Twenty-First Century." The visiting hierarchs, clergy, alumni, students and guests gathered in the assembly hall greeted the First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia

The feast days were spent under the holy aegis of the Hodegetria of the Russian Diaspora – the miraculous Kursk Root Icon of the Mother of God "of the Sign."

Bishop Luke then greeted the audience and began his keynote speech "Holy Trinity Seminary and Theological Schools of Pre-Revolutionary Russia: Similarities and Differences."

During the day, seminary faculty members and guest speakers gave various theological lectures. The aim of the program was to promote a broad knowledge of everything that paved the way for today's Orthodox seminary program and how it can be applied for the benefit of modern pastoral purposes.

A traditional monastic meal was served in the monastery refectory, after which visits were made to the bookstore, prayers in the cathedral and before the graves of the departed First Hierarchs of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia and the monastic brethren.
