The Days of Russia’s Spiritual Culture begin in Ethiopia

From June 27 to 30, activities of the Days of Russia’s Spiritual Culture are held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. It is a special format of large-scale multi-genre action demonstration to the world of Russia’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage.
The project is implemented by the Russian Ministry of Culture together with the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Moscow Patriarchate, reports the website of the Patriarchal Exarchate for Africa with reference to the Russian World foundation.
Organized in the Ethiopian capital city are an exhibition devoted to the unique heritage of the State National Park of History, Ethnography and Architecture ‘Kizhi’ (included in the UNESCO World Heritage List), as well as a round-table conference on Closeness of Spiritual-Cultural Heritage as the Basis of the Development of Russia and Ethiopia.
In addition, performances of the Moscow Theological Academy’s choir are planned for September.
The delegations of the two sides will include representatives of state bodies, the Russian Orthodox Church, the Ethiopian Orthodox Church, leaders of cultural establishments in the two countries, leading experts in science, culture and art.
