On April 29, Catholic-Melkite Patriarch Yousef Absi received Archimandrite Philip (Vasiltsev), the representative of the Russian Orthodox Church to the Patriarchal Throne of Antioch, at his residence in Damascus, reports the website of the Russian Orthodox Church Mission in Damascus.

During a lengthy conversation, a wide range of issues of cooperation and interaction between the Catholic Melkite Church and the Representation of the Russian Orthodox Church had been discussed, and a number of topics of mutual interest were touched upon.
