Bishop Leonid of Argentina and South America celebrates memorial services at the cemeteries in Buenos Aires

On April 25, the day of commemoration of the departed, Bishop Leonid of Argentina and South America celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the home church of St. Alexander Nevsky in Buenos Aires and proceeded to the city cemeteries to conduct memorial services. The hierarch was accompanied by archpriest Sergiy Yurin, secretary of the diocese.

Paschal hymns and memorial prayers were chanted at the graves of hierarchs, clerics and parishioners buried at the Buenos Aires British cemetery and the La Chacarita cemetery, the two largest in the capital of Argentina.

That same day, Rev. Roman Kunen, acting rector of the church of St. Zinaida the Martyr in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, together with parishioners visited the English cemetery and celebrated memorial service for Orthodox Christians buried there.
