Primate of the Greek Orthodox Church of Jerusalem receives delegation from the Saint Andrew the First-Called Foundation.

On 14th April on Good Friday of Holy Week, the Trinity Cathedral of the Russian Spiritual Mission in Jerusalem was visited by a delegation from the Saint Andrew the First-Called Foundation, headed by the chairman of the board of trustees of the Foundation Vladimir Yakunin. The delegation consisted of auxiliary bishop to the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia the bishop of Zaraisk Constantine, the director of the Saint Andrew the First-Called Foundation Vladimir Bushuev and ninety pilgrims from all over the Russian Orthodox Church.
Accompanying the delegation was the Russian ambassador to Israel Anatoly Viktorov and his wife and the first secretary of the Russian embassy F. V. Georgi.
As reported by the press service of the Russian Spiritual Mission, on the same day the Russian pilgrims and the diplomatic staff accompanying them were received in the Great Throne Hall of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Patriarchate of Jerusalem by His Beatitude the Patriarch of the Holy City of Jerusalem and All Palestine Theophilos III. The meeting was also attended by a delegation of pilgrims from Belarus who had come to receive the Holy Fire, headed by the country’s first deputy prime minister Nikolai Snopkov, who was accompanied by the Belarussian ambassador to Israel Yevgeny Vorobyov. During their meeting both sides exchanged greetings and souvenir gifts.
In the evening on that day the bishop of Zaraisk Constantine celebrated matins of Holy Saturday with the burial rite of the Saviour in the Russian Trinity Cathedral in Jerusalem.
