Your Beatitude, beloved brother and concelebrant at the divine altar,

Allow me to convey to you my heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of your eighty-fifth birthday.

As a young man you dedicated your life to the Lord and his Holy Church and have trod, with the spiritual flock entrusted to you, a long and thorny path.

Your sincere and active love towards your fellow clergy and flock, fidelity to Orthodoxy and the sacred canons testifies to your having fulfilled the words of the all-wise Joshua, son of Sirach: “Rich experience is the crown of the aged, and their boast is the ear of the Lord” (Sirach 25.6).

On this day of celebration for you, I pray to the All-Merciful God that he strengthen the bodily and spiritual health of Your Beatitude and send down his unfailing aid in your numerous Primatial labours.
