Patriarch Kirill meets with Metropolitan Sergy of Singapore and Southeast Asia

On February 17, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’ met with Metropolitan Sergy of Singapore and Southeast Asia at the Patriarchal and Synodal residence in St. Daniel’s Monastery in Moscow.
Discussed during the meeting were issues pertaining to the development of church life in the dioceses comprising the Exarchate of Southeast Asia, Patriarchal Press Service reports.

The Patriarchal Exarchate of Southeast Asia was created by the decision of the Holy Synod on December 28, 2018 (Minutes No.106). The Exarchate consists of the Diocese of Singapore (comprising Singapore, Malaysia, the Republic of Indonesia, the Democratic Republic of East Timor, and the Independent State of Papua New Guinea), the Diocese of Korea (comprising the People’s Democratic Republic of Korea and the Republic of Korea); the Diocese of Thailand (comprising the Kingdom of Thailand, the Kingdom of Cambodia, the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, and the Republic of the Union of Myanmar), the Diocese of the Philippines and Vietnam (comprising the Republic of the Philippines and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam).
