ROCOR Archbishop Peter of Chicago and Mid-America participates in Patriarchal services at Novo-Gracanica Monastery

On Saturday, 4 February, 2023, during a visit to the United States, His Holiness Patriarch Porfirije of Serbia celebrated Divine Liturgy at Novo-Gracanica Dormition Monastery not far from Chicago, IL. He was joined in the service by His Eminence Archbishop Peter of Chicago and Mid-America of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia and other hierarchs of the Serbian Church: His Grace Bishop Savva (retired), His Grace Bishop Longin of Novo-Gracanica and Med-West America; His Grace Bishop Mitrofan of Canada; His Grace Bishop Nikodim of Dalmatia, His Grace Bishop Kirill of Buenos Aires and South America, the monastery's monastics and visiting clergy, attended by an enormous gathering of worshipers.
After the services, His Holiness expressed joy over the joint service at Bishop Longin's diocese, noting the importance of the life, asceticism and legacy of St Savva of Serbia.
Among the visitors were pilgrims from Holy Virgin Protection Cathedral in Chicago of the Russian Church Abroad, who participated in a trapeza luncheon afterwards.
