DECR vice-chairman meets with deputy head of Iranian Culture and Islamic Relations Organization

On October 13, DECR vice-chairman Archimandrite Philaret (Bulekov) met with Dr Hussein Roozbeh, deputy head of the Iranian Organization for Culture and Islamic Relation.
Participating in the meetings was also the head of the cultural representation under the Iranian embassy in Russia, Dr Masood Ahmadwand.
The DECR was also represented by Rev. Dimitry Safonov, DECR secretary for interreligious relations and executive secretary of the Interreligious Council in Russia.
They discussed prospects for the work of the joint Russian-Iranian Commission for Dialogue ‘Orthodoxy-Islam’, which is to mark in December 2022 the 25th anniversary since its first session.
