An exhibition is to take place in Rio de Janeiro on the 5th anniversary of Patriarch Kirill’s visit to Brazil
From November 20 to December 4, 2021, a photo exhibition will take place in Rio de Janeiro as part of the Christmas Readings. It will be devoted to the 5th anniversary of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia’s visit to the Federative Republic of Brazil.
The exposition has been prepared by the Parish of the Holy Martyr Zinaida with a blessing of Bishop Leonid of Argentina and South America.
Support in organizing the exhibition was given by the Russian Federation Consulate General in Rio de Janeiro and the Federal Agency for the Affairs of the Commonwealth of the Independent States, compatriots living abroad and Rossotrudnichestvo, an agency for international humanitarian cooperation, as well the Catholic Metropolis of San Sebastian with the personal participation of Archbishop Joao Orani of Rio de Janeiro Cardinal Tempesta.
The photo exhibition will be located at the exposition center of the Catholic St. Sebastian Cathedral. It will present photographs from the archives of the Press Service of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, recording the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church’s visit to Brazilian cities of Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo.
The solemn opening of the exposition will take place on November 20.
