Appointment of new head of UOC Department for External Church Relations and permanent member of UOC Holy Synod

The Holy Synod of the Ukrainian Orthodox Сhurch at its session on August 17, 2021 in the Kiev-Pechersk Monastery of the Holy Dormition chaired by His Beatitude Onufriy, Metropolitan of Kiev and All Ukraine, resolved to appoint a new chairman of the Department for External Church Relations and a permanent member of the Holy Synod.

The Synod made several cadre decisions due to the passing away to the Lord of the Most Rev. Metropolitan Mitrofan of Lugansk and Alchevsk, chairman of the Department for External Church Relations and a permanent member of the Holy Synod.

The Synod appointed the Most Rev. Metropolitan Meletiy of Chernovtsy and Bukovina as chairman of the Department for External Church Relations and a permanent member of the Holy Synod.
