Online meeting of the Orthodox youth from South America and Russia took place

On March 21, with the blessing of His Eminence Leonidas, Bishop of Argentina and South America, the second friendly online meeting of members of the youth department of the Argentine and South American Diocese from Argentina, Brazil, Panama, Peru, with members of Orthodox youth organizations in Russia took place.

The meeting was also attended by the rector of the Church of the Annunciation of the Mother of God in Sao Paulo (Brazil), Priest Andrei Khazov and the rector of the parish in the name of St. Blessed Matrona of Moscow in Lima (Peru), Hieromonk Innokentiy (Karpov), the head of the IMO "LOGOS" Gleb Blyashon, a member of the youth Department of the diocese from Argentina Olesya Mikheeva, activists of Orthodox youth organizations from Russia, Argentina, Brazil.

The meeting participants shared their experience of organizing work with Orthodox youth in Latin America and Russia, exchanged impressions of the events held by youth departments in their countries and cities, discussed dates and topics for future meetings.

The head of the LOGOS IMO Gleb Blyashon and Karina Barseghian from the Youth Department of the Magnitogorsk Diocese spoke about a two-day meeting of youth organizations that took place in Magnitogorsk at the end of last month.

Olesya Mikheeva spoke about the project of the youth department of the Argentine diocese "Alexander Nevsky: from earthly to heavenly" and about the visit by young people from Buenos Aires to the parish of the Holy Royal Passion-bearers in the city of Mar del Plata.

The meeting was held in Russian, Spanish and Portuguese, with the support of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Argentina and the Youth Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots.
