Consecration of a new church built instead of that captured by schismatics at Zavoloka village

On February 16, 2021, hierarchs of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church consecrated a church dedicated to All Saints. It was built by the community of the Zavoloka village, Storozhinets district, Chernovtsy region, who became victims of raiding by proponents of ‘the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.

The Great Consecration was administered by Metropolitan Melety of Chernovtsy and Bukovina assisted by Bishop Mark of Borodyany and clergy of the diocese.

The church at Zavoloka was built 15 months after the ‘OCU’ captured the previous church built in the 1990s by the Ukrainian Orthodox Church community led by the rector of the church, Archimandrite Juvenaly (Palamaryuk), 80, the builder of the both churches.
