DECR Chairman meets with Primate of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia

On 28 January 2010, Archbishop Hilarion of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate department for external church relations, met with His Beatitude Metropolitan Christopher of the Czech Lands and Slovakia at the DECR premises.

They were joined by archpriest Alexy Yuschenko, rector of the Moscow metochion of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia, and priest Igor Yakimchuk, acting DECR secretary for Inter-Orthodox relations.

Participants in the meeting discussed certain aspects of the situation of Orthodoxy in Czechia and Slovakia and development of cooperation between the two Churches.
