On July 8, 2011, the Bishops’ Council was held at the refectory chamber of the church of Sts Anthony and Theodosius of the Caves in the Kiev Laura of the Assumption. It was chaired by His Beatitude Vladimir, Metropolitan of Kiev and All Ukraine.
After the opening address by Metropolitan Vladimir, Archbishop Mitrofan of Belaya Tserkov and Boguslavsk announced the agenda.
The Bishops’ Council considered the Statute of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and agreed to set up a commission headed by Metropolitan Hilarion of Donetsk and Mariupol for considering all the proposals and remarks made at the Bishops’ Council.
