Archbishop Ionafan of Tulchin and Bratslav is awarded Ukrainian Order “For Services”
Archbishop Ionafan of Tulchin and Bratslav was awarded the Ukrainian State Order “For Services”, 3rd decree, by the decree of the Ukrainian President, Viktor Yanukovich. The award was timed to the 80th anniversary of the Vinnitsa region.
The high award was conferred upon Archbishop Ionafan by the first deputy prime minister of Ukraine and Minister of Health, R. Bogatyrev, at the jubilee assembly held at the Vinnitsa regional music and drama theatre, press office of the Tulchin diocese reports.
The Order ”For Services” was instituted by the decree of the Ukrainian President of 22 September 1996 to award citizens for their considerable achievements in economic, scientific, social, cultural, military, governmental, public, and other spheres of life for the benefit of the country.
