Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk meets with the chairman of Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation

On 22 May 2013, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations, met with Mr. Sergei Stepashin, chairman of the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation. Metropolitan Hilarion greeted Mr. Stepashin with the Feast of the Radiant Resurrection of Christ and with the commemoration day of St Nicholas the Wonderworker, Archbishop of Myra in Lycia.

Metropolitan Hilarion told Mr. Stepashin about the results of the visit of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia to the People’s Republic of China and about other international activities of the Russian Orthodox Church.

The DECR chairman informed Mr. Sergei Stepashin, who is a member of the supervisory board of the Ss Cyril and Methodius Theological Institute for Post-Graduate and Doctoral Studies, of the restoration works at the premises of the Patriarchal Metochion of the Chernigov Wonder-Workers, where the Institute is located.
