Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vucic visits Moscow representation of Serbian Orthodox Church
In the course of his working visit to Russia, President Aleksandar Vucic of Serbia visited the Ss Peter and Paul church at the Yauza Gates, the Moscow representation of the Serbian Orthodox Church.
In the church, President Vucic celebrated Krsna Slava – the commemoration day of his family’s heavenly patron. On December 19, the commemoration day of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, the Serbian traditional blessing of the Slava loaf and bread was celebrated by the rector of the representation, Bishop Anthony of Moravici, who greeted the head of the state on the occasion of the feast and presented him with an icon of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, wishing him God’s help in his work.
Among the worshippers were Serbian Minister of Defense Aleksandar Vulin, Mr. Nenad Popovic, Serbian Minister without portfolio in charge of innovations and technological development, Serbian Ambassador to Russia Dr. Slavenko Terzic, and Col. Budimir Gajic, Serbian military attaché, the site of the Moscow representation of the Serbian Orthodox Church reports.
