Head of Syrian branch of Imperial Orthodox Palestine Society visits Damascus Representation of Russian Orthodox Church
On 8 March 2020, the 1st Sunday of the Great Lent, the head of the Syrian branch of the Imperial Orthodox Palestine Society (IOPS), Dr Adnan Mtannios Bashour visited the Damascus representation of the Russian Orthodox Church.
Dr Bashour informed the representative of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia to the Patriarch of Antioch, Hegumen Arseny (Sokolov) about the work carried out by the IOPS in Syria and shared the society’s plans for developing and intensifying this work.
As a token of Dr Bashour’s visit to the representation, Father Arseny presented him with a copy of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia’s book in “Freedom and Responsibility: In a Search for Harmony” in its Arabic version.
