His Holiness Patriarch Kirill sends greetings to His Beatitude Archbishop Anastasios of Tirana and All Albania with the anniversary of his enthronement
His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia congratulated the Primate of the Albanian Orthodox Church on the anniversary of his enthronement. The text of the message is given below.
Your Beatitude, Beloved Brother in the Lord and Concelebrant,
I wholeheartedly congratulate Your Beatitude on the 25th anniversary of your enthronement.
Since your youth, as a faithful disciple of Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine (1 Tim 4:6), you have been growing in the knowledge of our Saviour, preparing yourself for the church ministry. You successfully performed this ministry in the field of the spiritual enlightenment and the preaching of the Gospel. Beholding your labours, the Lord ordained you to take the helm of the Albanian Orthodox Church, which had been tormented by the theomachist authorities and which, under your Primatial omophorion, has grown stronger, zealously carrying out today her salvific mission.
On this memorable day I prayerfully wish you bountiful mercies from the Generous Maker and His blessed help in your lofty and important Primatial service.
