His Holiness Patriarch Kirill’s condolence over devastating earthquake in Nepal

His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia expressed his condolences to Dr. Ram Baran Yadav, President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, over the devastating earthquake which had claimed many lives and caused severe damages in different regions of the country.

Your Excellency, dear Mr. President,

I have been deeply grieved to learn about the terrible natural disaster which occurred not far from Nepal’s capital. As a result of the devastating earthquake, many people have died and been injured. The natural disaster has caused considerable material damage.

The Russian Orthodox Church sympathizes with the people of Nepal and grieves with those who have lost their relatives and friends. I ask you to convey to them the words of support and wishes of spiritual strength and fortitude.
