Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk meets with Rector of Russian Christian Academy for Humanities
On 4 March 2015, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, rector of the Ss Cyril and Methodius Theological Institute for Postgraduate Studies, met with Prof. Dmitry Bogatyrev, rector of the Russian Christian Academy for the Humanities. They were joined in the meeting that took place at the DECR premises by archpriest Vladimir Shmaliy, hieromonk Ioann (Kopeikin), vice-rectors of the Ss Cyril and Methodius Theological Institute; Prof. D. Shmonin, the Academy vice-rector; Mr. A. Gusev, the Institute executive secretary for master’s programme; Ms. Ye. Bogdasarova, and Ms. N. Fedotova.
Professor Bogatyrev informed Metropolitan Hilarion about the work of the chair of pedagogics and theory of education of the Theological Institute for Postgraduate Studies in St. Petersburg.
The participants in the meeting discussed the implementation of programs at the ‘Theology of Education’ chair and also the expansion of possibilities of training scholars and theologians in St. Petersburg on the basis of the Academy and the Institute.
