Hierarchs of the Russian Church celebrate on the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord at the Holy Sepulchre

On February 15, Meatfare Sunday or Sunday of the Last Judgment, which this year falls on the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, Archbishop Isidore of Hierapolis of the Patriarchate of Jerusalem, the senior skeuophylax of the Holy Sepulchre, presided over the night Divine Liturgy in the Church of the Hoy Sepulchre, also known as the Church of the Resurrection, with the blessing of His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem.
Assisting Archbishop Isidore were hierarchs of the Russian Orthodox Church, including Metropolitan Serafim of Penza and Nizhny Lomov, Bishop Ignaty of Aktobe and Kyzylorda, Bishop Sergy of Alapayevsk and Irbit, as well as Archimandrite Vassian (Zmeyev), head of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem; Archpriest Vladimir Tyshchuk, representative of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus’ to the Patriarch of Bulgaria; clergy of the Brotherhood of the Holy Sepulchre; deacon Makary Petukhov of the Mission; and pilgrims in holy orders from Russia, Romania, and Bulgaria.
Praying at the Liturgy were clergymen of the Patriarchate of Jerusalem, sisters of the Gorny Convent, numerous pilgrims from Russia and Romania, and worshippers from local Christian communities, the website of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission reports.
The service was celebrated in Greek, Church Slavonic, and Romanian. The hymns of the Liturgy were sung by the choirmen of the Brotherhood of the Holy Sepulchre.
