DECR Communication Service, 08/12/2025
In response to numerous requests from parishioners of the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Paris and French-speaking catechumens preparing to become Orthodox Christians, a revised and enlarged edition of a bilingual Orthodox prayer book has been issued in France. The book, containing prayers in the Russian and French languages, was published by Eikôn Publishing House with financial assistance from the Paris Centre for Supplementary Education.
The prayer book was compiled by a team of clerics from the Archdiocese of Orthodox Churches of Russian Tradition in Western Europe and the Diocese of Korsun, namely, Protodeacon Alexander Kedroff, Protodeacon Jean Drobot, Priest Ion Dimitrov, Priest Sergy Kim and Priest Antony Sidenko. The book contains the most common prayers for everyday life, including morning and evening prayers, prayers before and after meals, prayers before and after Communion and the Akathist to the Most Holy Theotokos, website of the Korsun Diocese reports.
The new edition has a larger font and more prayers for various occasions.
