DECR Secretary for Inter-Christian Relations delivers a lecture at the Kazan Theological Seminary

On October 17, with the blessing of the Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, and at the invitation of Metropolitan Kirill of Kazan and Tatarstan, the DECR Secretary for Inter-Christian Relations, Hieromonk Stefan (Igumnov), delivered a lecture at the Kazan Theological Seminary on the topic “The Oriental Churches: History and Contemporary Dialogue.”

The lecture was attended by Metropolitan Kirill of Kazan and Tatarstan, Bishop Benjamin of Rybinsk and Romanovo-Borisoglebsk, clergy of the Kazan Diocese, and students of the Kazan Theological Seminary.

During the same days, at the invitation of Metropolitan Kirill, the DECR representative took part in the celebrations marking the Feast of the Synaxis of the Kazan Saints and the bringing of a relic of Saint Luke, Archbishop of Simferopol and Crimea, to Kazan.
