Metropolitan Varsonofy of St. Petersburg and Ladoga сelebrates Liturgy at the Compound of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jaffa

On September 22, on the afterfeast of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos and the commemoration of the Righteous Ancestors of God, Joachim and Anna, Metropolitan Varsonofy of St. Petersburg and Ladoga celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the compound of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission named after Righteous Tabitha in Jaffa (Tel Aviv).
Metropolitan Varsonofy was assisted by Bishop Lazar of Narva and Prichudie (Estonian Orthodox Christian Church), Vicar of the St. Petersburg Diocese Bishop Siluan of Peterhof, Head of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem Archimandrite Vassian (Zmeev), the sacristan of the compound Archpriest Nikolay Zhdanov, and pilgrim-clergymen from the St. Petersburg Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church, according to the website of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission.
Worshippers from Tel Aviv and surrounding cities, as well as pilgrims from Russia and Estonia, prayed in the church.
During the Liturgy, Metropolitan Varsonofy read a prayer for peace, and after the service, he addressed the worshippers with a sermon.
