Patriarchal exarch celebrates services for the feast of the Nativity of the Mother of God in the Indonesian city of Bekasi.

On 21st September 2025 on the feast of the Nativity of Our Most Holy the Mother of God and Ever-Virgin Mary, the Patriarchal exarch for South East Asia the metropolitan of Singapore and South East Asia Sergius celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the episcopal metochion of the Church of Saint Vladimir in the city of Bekasi in Indonesia. The All-Night Vigil with the blessing of loaves and wine was celebrated the evening before.
Concelebrating with metropolitan Sergius were: the bishop of Jakarta Pitirim, auxiliary of the diocese of Singapore; hieromonk Juvenal (Maruschak), secretary of the Patriarchal exarchate for South East Asia; hieromonk Methodius (Sugiarto), cleric of the episcopal metochion in Bekasi; deacon Damian Darmavan, cleric of the Church of the Holy Apostle Thomas in Jakarta, and deacon Ammon S, cleric of the episcopal metochion in Bekasi.
Also attending the service was the Russian ambassador to Indonesia S. G. Tolchenov, reports the Telegram channel of the exarchate.
At the end of the Liturgy hymns were sung to the Mother of God in honour of the feast of her Nativity.
At the conclusion of the festive service metropolitan Sergius congratulated the faithful on the occasion of the great church solemnity and thanked those who had gathered for their joint prayers.
