Deputy head of Russian Ecclesiastical Mission takes part in Divine Liturgy at Holy Sepulchre Church

On 24th August, 11th Sunday after Pentecost, Hegumen Nikon (Golovko), deputy head of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem, took part in the night Liturgy at the Edicule of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Officiating at the Divine Liturgy was Archbishop Philoumenos of Pella of the Patriarchate of Jerusalem.
Concelebrating with Archbishop Philoumenos were Bishop Teofil (Anăstăsoaie) of Trotuș, former representative of the Romanian Patriarchate to the Patriarchate of Jerusalem; his successor Archimandrite Ioan Meiu; as well as clerics of the Holy Sepulchre Brotherhood and pilgrims from Russia.
The divine service was celebrated in the Greek, Arabic, Church Slavonic and Romanian languages, website of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission reports.
The liturgical hymns were performed by the choir of the Holy Sepulchre Brotherhood conducted by Archbishop Isidoros of Hierapolis, Elder Sacristan of the Holy Sepulchre.
Praying at the Liturgy were abbesses of the Moscow stavropegic convents: Mother Juliana (Kaleda) of the Convent of the Conception of the Most Holy Theotokos by St Anna, and Mother Viktorina (Perminova) of the Convent of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos, as well as sisters of the Gorny Convent and pilgrims from Russia and Romania.
