Divine service is celebrated in the Kingdom of Bahrain on the feast of the Holy Trinity

DECR Communications Service, 07.06.2025.
On Friday, June 6, a divine service for the Holy Trinity was celebrated for the Russian Orthodox community in Manama, the capital of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The service was celebrated in a Catholic church by Archimandrite Alexander (Zarkeshev), rector of the church of St. Philip the Apostle in the United Arab Emirates. He was assisted by deacon Alexy Kostin. The hymns were sung by a parishioners’ choir.
Deacon Alexy read the festive passage from the Acts of the Apostle; the passage from the Holy Gospel was read by Archimandrite Alexander who stood facing the people.
During the Litany of Fervent Supplication, special prayers were recited for the seriously ill parishioner Svetlana Murphy, who went into coma due to an accident. The day before, Father Alexander administered extreme unction to her in the hospital.
All those present at the church sang the Creed and Our Father together. Before Holy Communion, Fr. Alexander heard common confession of the parishioners, most of whom received the Holy Mysteries of Christ.
Among those praying at the Liturgy was Rev. Saba Haidousian, rector of the local community of the Antiochian Orthodox Church.
At the end of the service, the kneeling prayers of Pentecost were read. Then Fr. Alexander delivered a sermon and congratulated the worshippers on the feast of the birthday of the Church of Christ.
