DECR Communication Service, 05.11.2024.
In September 2024, Myanmar was hit by the severe Typhoon Yagi. It caused catastrophic flooding, which killed more than 380 people, while 89 were reported missing. The flood was one of the most destructive in the modern history of the country, having impacted the lives of more than 630,000 people.
Telegram channel of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Southeast Asia reports that parishioners of the church of the Dormition in Singapore collected necessary things for children and teenagers and delivered them to those in need in the village of Mindat. The residents were happy to receive clothes and footwear and expressed heartfelt gratitude for support in such a difficult situation.
