Raiders seized the UOC Dormition Cathedral in Zolotonosha

Late in the evening of 2nd September 2024, a group of the OCU raiders seized the Holy Dormition Cathedral of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Zolotonosha city, Cherkasy region.

According to eyewitness reports, the street leading to the church had been blocked in advance to prevent the clergy and parishioners from approaching the building.

The raiders waited until dark and power outage to force the locks and break into the church.

The UOC parishioners called the police. Reluctantly, policemen took their statement but refused to identify the OCU raiders, website of the Cherkasy Diocese reports.
