On 23rd July 2024 there was a planned session of the commission for international cooperation under the Russian Presidential Council for Interaction with Religious Associations held at the Department for External Church Relations.
Attending the session, which was headed by the chairman of the Department for External Church Relations and head of the Russian Presidential Council for Interaction with Religious Associations the metropolitan of Volokolamsk Anthony, were: the deputy head of the Russian Presidential Administration for foreign policy V.P. Nazarenko; consultant for the Russian Presidential Administration for foreign policy and Council secretary (deputy commission chairman) A.V. Tretyakov; chairman of the Russian and Novo-Nakhichevansk diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Father Georg Vardanyan; senior bishop of the Russian Union of Pentecostal Christians S.V. Ryakhovsky, the director of the information and media department of the Russian Foreign Ministry M.V. Sakharova; deputy director of the foreign ministry for relations with subjects of the Russian Federation, parliament and public associations K.P. Kozhanov; first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee for international affairs A.V. Chepa, DECR secretary for relations with the distant abroad archpriest Zvonaryov; head of the Spiritual Assembly of Russian Muslims A.R. Krganov; main advisor of the department of the Russian Administration for internal affairs A.A. Terentiev, as well as other commission members and officially invited persons.
The participants of the session discussed current issues, among which were the protection of traditional values throughout the world.
