A priest consecrated maize fields in Tanzania

On the 21st of January, Sunday Liturgy was served at the parish of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in the village of Kimamba in Tanzania (Kilosa District, Morogoro Region). The Divine service was celebrated by priest Laurentius Sakwa, according to the website of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa
After the Liturgy, Father Lawrence blessed the maize fields at the request of the parishioners. In Tanzania, which is located in East Africa, more than 80 per cent of the population is engaged in agriculture, and maize is one of the main crops cultivated.
