Episcopal service at patronal feast day of the metochion of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia

On 19th December 2023 the patronal feast day was celebrated of the Church of Saint Nicholas of Myra in Lycia at Kotelniki, the Moscow metochion of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia.
On the feast day the divine liturgy at the Church of Saint Nicholas in Kotelniki was celebrated by the bishop of Solnechnogorsk Alexei, the vicar abbot of the stauropegic St. Daniel’s Monastery in Moscow. Concelebrating with the bishop were: the church rector and representative of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia to the Moscow Patriarchal throne archimandrite Seraphim (Shemyatovsky); the rector of the Church of Saint Catherine in-the-Fields and representative of the Orthodox Church in America to the Moscow Patriarchal throne archpriest Daniel Andrejuk and clerics of the parish and brethren from Saint Daniel’s Monastery. The diaconal part of the service was headed by archdeacon Gennady (Orlov).
After the prayer from beyond the ambo feast day hymns to Saint Nicholas were sung, reports the website of the metochion.
At the dismissal of the divine liturgy the bishop of Solnechnogorsk Alexei read aloud the missive from His Holiness the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill on the occasion of Charity Day for those in prison.
At the conclusion of the service bishop Alexei greeted those present in the church and congratulated them on the patronal feast day. In his reply, archimandrite Seraphim thanked the bishop for heading the service on the feast day.
