Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk officiates at All-Night Vigil in St.Nicholas Cathedral in Vienna

On November 25, on the eve of the 25^th Sunday after Pentecost, Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations, officiated at the All-night Vigil service in the Vienna Cathedral of St. Nicholas. Among his concelebrants were Metropolitan Mark of Ryazan and Mikhaylov and Bishop Alexy of Vienna and Austria. The archpastors have arrived in Vienna to take part in celebrations marking the 60^th anniversary of the Diocese of Vienna and Austria.

Also concelebrating were archpriest Vladimir Tyschuk, archpriest Radoslav Ristić, Rev. Vyacheslav Schibanov, Rev. Georgy Ryashko, and deacons Bojan Nedeljković and Nikolai Markovich, as well as ordained guests. Archimandrite Georgij (Vostrel) was praying in the sanctuary.

During the Polyeleos, solemn glorification was sung to St. John Chrysostom who is commemorated during these days.

After the Gospel reading, when the Canon at Matins was being read, Metropolitan Anthony anointed clergy and parishioners with holy oil.
