One more church seized in Kiev region

DECR Communication Service, 04.10.2023.
On October 3, about four in the morning, activists of the OCU schismatic structure with the support of people wearing military uniforms, seized the Intercession church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the village of Zabuyanye, Kiev region, Ukraine, the Union of Orthodox Journalists reports with reference to the ‘Pershiy Kozatsky’ (First Cossack) telegram channel.
Police officers arrived at the scene immediately. The church community learned about the seizure at six in the morning when the passers-by saw a lot of cars at the church building and informed the rector.
In a video published by the ‘Pershiy Kozatsky’ channel, a woman calls herself an authorized person of the OCU community and is outspoken in saying that the re-registration of the parish has not been completed and that the raiders do not have documents for the church.
According to media reports, on 3 June 2023, supporters of the schismatics held their meeting in Zabuyanye, at which they ‘resolved’ to transfer this parish of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church to their organization.
