Patriarchal Exarch of Southeast Asia celebrates liturgy at the Dormition church in Ratchaburi province of Thailand

On the 21st of April, Friday of Bright Week, the Feast Day of the Icon of the Mother of God "Life-bearing Spring", His Eminence Metropolitan Sergius of Singapore and Southeast Asia, Patriarchal Exarch and a temporary administrator of the Diocese of Thailand, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Church of the Dormition of the Mother of God at the male monastic community in Ratchaburi Province (Thailand).
The archpastor was joined by the secretary of the diocese, Archimandrite Oleg (Cherepanin), as well as the clergy of the Diocese of Thailand and the Cambodian Diocese.
At the Small Entrance, Metropolitan Sergius honoured Hieromonk German (Borovkov), acting Rector of the Ratchaburi Dormition Church, with the right to wear a nabedrennik for his zealous service to the Church of Christ and on the occasion of the feast of the Holy Pascha.
At the end of the Liturgy, a water blessing service was performed followed by a procession of the cross around the church, according to the website of the Patriarchal Exarchate of South East Asia. At the conclusion of the service, Metropolitan Sergius congratulated the clergy and parishioners on the feast of the Holy Resurrection of our Lord.
On behalf of the clergy and as a memento of his visit to the diocese on the feast of Holy Pascha, the Secretary of the diocese, Archimandrite Oleg (Cherepanin) presented the Archbishop with a panagia and wished him many good years of life for the Church of Christ.
A diocesan meeting of clergy was then held in the church under the chairmanship of Metropolitan Sergius. The main topic of discussion were current issues in the life of the Thai diocese.
