His Beatitude Patriarch John X of Antioch receives representative of the Russian Orthodox Church

On January 3, His Beatitude Patriarch John X of Antioch and All the East received Archimandrite Philip (Vasiltsev), representative of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia to the Antiochian Patriarchal See.

During a long talk that took place at the Patriarchal residence in Damascus there was discussed a wide range of issues pertaining to cooperation between the Orthodox Church of Antioch and the Representation of the Russian Orthodox Church in Damascus.

Website of the Representation reports that attending the meeting were Bishop Roman of Seleucia, a vicar of His Beatitude; Mr. Eldar M. Kurbanov, chargé d’affaires of the Russian Federation in the Syrian Arab Republic; and Mr. Timofey A. Bokov, first secretary of the Russian Embassy.
