DECR chairman meets with leaders of Russian Union of Evangelical Christians-Baptists

On December 16, DECR chairman Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, met with President of the Russian Union of Evangelical Christians-Baptists P. M. Mitskevich, at the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate.

Participating in the meeting were also RUECB first vice-chairman V.V. Ignatenkov, head of the RUECB Administration V.A. Miskevich, DECR secretary for inter-Christian relations Hieromonk Stephen (Igumnov), and Hierodeacon Peter (Akhmatkhanov, DECR staff member.

They discussed a wide range of issues concerning inter-confessional cooperation, in particular, the present interaction between the Russian Orthodox Church and the Russian Union of Evangelical Christians-Baptists, as well as other topics of mutual concern.
