Representative of the Russian Church visits Faculty of Theology at the Melkite Greek Catholic Patriarchate in Damascus

On November 11, archimandrite Philip (Vasiltsev), representative of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus’ to the Orthodox Church of Antioch, visited a college called the Faculty of Theology at the Melkite Greek Catholic Patriarchate in Damascus.

Its dean, professor archimandrite Youssef told the guest about the Faculty and during a short excursion showed him a classroom in which the Russian language will be studied.

Afterwards, archimandrites Philip and Youssef paid a visit to Archbishop Nicolas (Antiba), Patriarchal vicar of the Melkite Greek Catholic Church in Damascus. Archimandrite Philip told him about the history and activities of the Representation of the Russian Orthodox Church in Damascus and presented him with a memorable gift, website of the Representation reports.
