Metropolitan Eugene of Tallinn calls the faithful to foster prayers due to numerous media attacks on the Estonian Church

Metropolitan Eugene of Tallinn and All Estonia made an appeal to all the faithful of the Estonian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate due to numerous attacks made against the Estonian Orthodox Church in the mass media, patriarchia.ru reports.

‘As Orthodox Christians, we see it as a trial the Lord has allowed us to go through. St. Seraphim of Sarov used to say, ‘Those who sustain with prayer the blows of involuntary temptations become humble, reliable and experienced in spiritual life’. Following the commandment of the great starets, we in this situation should foster prayers for our Church’, Metropolitan Eugene said in his appeal to the faithful.

‘We ask all the faithful, while reciting the Rule of Home Prayer, to add to it the prayer adopted by the Tallinn Diocesan Council on August 15, 2022’, reads a notice in the appeal published on the official website of the Estonian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate.
