Secretary of the Diocese of Thailand meets with representative of Imperial Orthodox Palestine Society in Thailand

On July 13, with the blessing of Metropolitan Sergy of Singapore and Southeast Asia, Archimandrite Oleg (Cherepanin), secretary of the Diocese of Thailand, met with Ms Nimnual Piewthongngam, a professor of law at the Panyapiwat Institute of Management in Bangkok and a representative of the Imperial Orthodox Palestine Society (IOPS) in Thailand.

Website of the Exarchate of Southeast Asia reports that Prof. Nimnual Piewthongngam told Fr. Oleg about the projects to be implemented in the Kingdom of Thailand in cooperation with the IOPS. Plans were outlined for setting up support programs of missionary and charity work, the development of relations between Russia and Thailand, and the strengthening of friendship among nations.

Prof. Nimnual Piewthongngam has been recently baptized in Russia with the name of Neonilla. Upon returning to Thailand, she has become a parishioner of St. Nicholas cathedral in Bangkok.
