Moscow hosted a conference on the Old Rite in the life of the Russian Orthodox Church

On May 24 2022 in Moscow at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior a conference took place entitled "The Old Rite in the Life of the Russian Orthodox Church: Past and Present" as part of the XXX International Educational Readings.
The meeting was chaired by Metropolitan George of Nizhny Novgorod and Arzamas, according to the website of the Nizhny Novgorod Metropolis.The head of the Patriarchal Center for Ancient Russian Liturgical Tradition, rector of the Church of the Intercession in Rubtsovo, Doctor of Theology Archpriest John Mirolyubov was the curator of the meeting. He also presented a report on "One Decree of Metropolitan Sergius, the Deputy Patriarchal Locum Tenens, and the Provisional Patriarchal Holy Synod under him".
Gleb Pechenkin, head of the Society of Lovers of Old Russian Singing in the name of St. Job, head of the Church of the Protecting Veil in Rubtsovo, delivered a report entitled "The Great Prokeimenon at the Liturgy of Presanctified Gifts according to the ancient rite. Liturgical Books and Practice".
Senior Priest Mikhail Zheltov, associate professor at the Moscow Theological Academy and rector of the Church of the Nativity of Christ in Mitino, Moscow, delivered a report on liturgical innovations in the Petrine epoch, along with a report entitled "The Paradoxes of Peter the Great," by Alexander Dugin, doctor of political and philosophical sciences.
Archpriest Evgeny Sarancha, a clergyman of St Michael's Church in St Michael's Sloboda, Moscow region talked about the attitude of F.M. Dostoyevsky towards the needs of Uniatism. Deacon Sergiy Gorokhov, chairman of the missionary department of the Alatirsk diocese, in his speech considered Uniatism as a mission to revive the spiritual foundations of Russia.
